July 30, 2008Warped Tour 08, Cincinnati
Ok guys so I just got back from Warped Tour 08 Cincinnati and it was pretty much one of the best nights of my life thus far! Not even kidding here folks, it was AWESOME! I'm pretty sure I'm going to be in awe of this night for weeks. First off I got to meet up with fellow Buzzneter and AMAZING photographer, XBLANKSFACE. She is sooo sweet and nice and we had a total blast.
![]() *Myself and the oh-so-lovely XBLANKSFACE* SO, I started my day by running some interviews with bands like The Academy is..., All Time Low, Forever The Sickest Kids, and Cobra Starship (check out my Warped Tour Cincinnati album to see the pics and the videos will be up soon!). I had a cool time getting to chat with all the bands, it was really laid back this year and it didn't feel like the interview room was crowded like last year. PS-I pretty much LOVE Bethany who runs interviews at Warped, she hooked me up all day with great interviews and she was a super sweetheart to chat with! The interviews went great and I even got to catch back up with some bands I've worked with before (Jack from ATL layed his leg across my lap and bit the edge off my Buzznet sign! lol!). ![]() *you can see his little skinny leg over mine. hehe* While we were backstage we saw two of the guys from Family Force Five and they walked over to talk to us. While we were talking I mentioned that I had danced on stage for them last year and NaDaddy went "THATS where I remember you from!". So they asked me and my friends if we were comming to see there show and that we should come dance with them agian. I also got invited to hang on stage with Motion City Soundtrack but sadly I was running an interview durring their set so I said I would do it tommorow. After the interviews we got to walk around and promo Buzznet quite a bit and talk to some new cool people, I even saw Jac Vanak (who I ended up hanging with later at a party, and I promised I'd hang with her tomorrow when I go to warped again). I also had a good time trying to find pictures of things to fill in my hunt for Buzzmob (one more day left to search!). Next it was off to see Family Force Five play and hang with the guys. When we got there it was still pretty early so we just chilled out with them and helped them blow up their ballons (which they gave us each one signed by all of them to thank us for all our help). And while were backstage Travis from We The Kings was standing around and came over to chill with us! As usual Family Force Fives set was AWESOME because they're so hyper and fun and it was super great to watch my friends dance on stage (I didn't dance with them becuase I had gotten off the stage and by the time I went to get back on it was just too crowded, agian something to do tomorrow). ![]() *Jac is ADORABLE!* ![]() *My friend Becky blowing up a ballon backstage at FF5* After the Family Force Five show I kinda figured that the night had come to an end since the shows were all over BUT we got invited to the after party BBQ that was hosted by All Time Low. The after party was sooooo fun, I spent most of the time hanging with Jac and Caleb from FTSK (who ended up giving me his bracelet when I had to leave, I gave it to my friend Becky). I also got to spend time with my current crush, but sorry I dont kiss and tell (here's the ONLY hints I'm giving, he's in a band on warped tour, he's adorable, and he's got tattoos. LOL! Not narrowing it down much hu?) Carrie, you know who I'm talking about girl! So I'm not going to take the joy away from Sara of telling you where SHE spend HER time at the after party, but trust me, it was really really awesome and you need to go to her blog ASAP and check it out! Well, that's pretty much the lot of it but let me throw in my highlights -Got to hang out with some cool new friends and catch back up with old ones - Getting personally invited to hang with Motion City Soundtrack and Family Force Five - Chillen at the after party with Caleb and Jac - Going to a party where GABE was the DJ - Meeting Sarah!!! - Using an "All Access Pass" most of the day that was loaned to me by a friend* - Getting to do it all again TOMORROW! So I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting some details but it's super late and I'm waking up really early tommorow for Warped. If anything new comes to mind I'll do a Part Two of this blog! PEACE YALL! ![]() *Some of our passes and Becky sporting Caleb's braclet* ![]() *these girls made my night!*

July 19, 2008Cleveland Warped (July 17th)Ok guy so I just finally recovered from my AWESOME time at Warped (although my voice still kinda hurts from having to yell to be heard over the music and my friends are still sporting the best sun burns). Well, lets just start by saying the day had a rocky start becuase my really really good friends band texted me that morning to let me know they had droped off the tour and gone home! Needless to say I was pretty much crushed and had low hope for the day cheering me up. BUT the moment I got to Warped I felt a lot better and and couldn't wait to see the bands! First thing I did when I got there was find my friend Brooklyn (stage manager for Warped) and head off to see The Academy is... The guys were really great and my friends were super pumped to get to be on stage for their set, my friend Becky actually jumped on me and kissed me! I love the new song About A Girl, it's really catchy and got stuck in my head for like hours. *Chizz even looks good from behind!* After watching the set we decided to stick around backstage and wait to get an autograph for my friends sister who wasn't able to come. The second William Beckett came out my friend latched onto my arm and made a bee line for him CD in hand. Needless to say William is a doll and will talk to you for ages (he even remembered me from last summer when I worked with them!) We got to chill with all the guys other than Mike Carden becuase he was super hot and wanted to bounce to take a shower. When we got home and gave Jen the autograph we was SUPER sad that she couldn't go, but she did feel much better when we told her William had put her pen in his mouth (hehe). ![]() *The other pics are in my Cleveland Warped Tour folder* After running around for a little while and trying to figure out who was playing when we started handing out all of our Buzznet stuff. Overall the responce to the stickers, buttons, and cards was GREAT, some people immediatly knew what Buzznet was but the people who didn't were really stoked to hear about it. A decided to take pictures of people with their Buzznet gear (because everyone loves pictures of themselves) and tell them to go to Buzznet and search the warped tour date to find pics of the themselves, everyone LOVED it! The only bad moment I had handing out my stuff was when I went to hand some girl a Jeffree Star card and she grabbed like five of them and ripped them out of my hand giving me some wicked paper cuts and making me a super angry panda for about 10 seconds. Then I was off to use my sign with the bands! Everyone really liked the sign and a lot of artists knew right off the bat what Buzznet was. Shwayze actually added "in" to the sign to make in Buzzin and tried to hand me some of their Buzznet cards, I was like "Yeah I just handed out like 100 of those!" and they were like "Girl we've seen you everywhere, you're like a whirlwhind!". Then I headed off to the From First to Last's tent to say hi to the boys and get a hug from Matt and Chris (who is LAME because he fell asleep all day and didn't texted me to hang untill like 6 and I had already left...it's ok, I still love ya'll). If you ever see From First to Last ask them how their puppies are doing because they have the CUTEST dogs with them on the tour (Brownie and Elrick). ![]() *Matt is pretty much adorable, even though he is a huge nerd. hehe!* Most of my day was spent backstage of the Hurley.com stage sitting in the trailer to stay out of the sun and heat and watching the great bands! I didnt' really get to see much of Forever The Sickest Kids set like I had planned becuase they were playing right after Evergreen Terrace and I had told Andrew that I would watch their set (which kicked like five million levels of ass! they're awesome!). So, by the time I got to Forever The Sickest Kids it was so packed I couldn't even get to the stage to get out of the mob, but I'm no too upset because I'm going two more times. After "watching" Forever The Sickest Kids play I went to Evergreen Terrace's merch booth and sat in one of their merch bins and hung out with their merch guys Caleb while they did their signing, I felt kind of bad though because tons of kids were trying to buy stuff from me and I was like "I dont work here, I dont know where that is.....you have to wait for him" *points to Caleb*. hehe! If you're not planning on seeing Evergreen Terrace play, then you should because they're great and you wont regret it! I spent the better part of the next half hour freaking out becuase I couldn't find my phone (turns out I had left if on the equiptment truck). By that point one of my friends was feeling really sick and was ready to watch The Higher then bounce so my friends took my camera and went to see The Higher and I opted to hang with a certain super hot adorable guy whos digits I now have (Carrie, you know who!). All in all the day was great! Got to run around meeting new people and catching up with old friends, taking pictures like a mad woman, rep buzznet, see some awesome shows, and laugh at my friends sun burns! The whole way home we blasted our music and danced around the car singing. The best part of this whole experience? The fact that I'm going two more times and get to do it all over again!! Artist of the Week (Week Six)
Artist of The Week- Meiko
How I discovered her- Probably the lamest story ever but she kinda found me when she friended me on Myspace. lol! My initial reaction- Well honestly I didn't have high hopes becuase mose of the bands or singers that friend me on Myspace arent all that great, but I decided to give her a shot and boy am I glad I did! Her voice is so smooth and puts me in the best mood. My current addiction- Right now I'm in love with her song "How Lucky We Are". Even though the sogn is intended to be a love song it makes me think of my friends and how lucky I am that I have so many great people in my life that I love! That's the song I'm hooked to now but to be honest you cant miss with any of her stuff. Where you can check her out- http://www.myspace.com/meiko Or catch her live!-
Parting Words- One day, we'll get out of this shitty apartment.....(makes me think of me and my college roomies, but we LOVE our shitty apartment. lol!)

July 8, 2008Artist of The Week (Week 5)
Artist of The Week- Xcrippledhope. Thats right, this week it's not a music artist that gets featured! Insted this week I'm doing featuring Xcrippled hope because I love his YouTube videos (he expreses songs in American Sign Language)
How I discovered him- When I was younger my mother was a sign language interperator for deaf students. The language always interested me and I grew up learning bits about it here are there from my mom or from her students. As soon as I got into college and I saw that my school had an ASL program (something my high school had lacked) I knew that I wanted to join up. One day in class my teacher showed us some videos of songs espressed in ASL and encouraged us to go on YouTube and find songs that we like in ASL, and thats how I found his video of Green Day's "American Idiot" My initial reaction- I really liked his videos right from the start becuase they combined two things I love, music and sign language. My favorite thing about him is that he has a lot of videos of songs that arent found elsewhere in ASL or are harder to find. I contacted him once through his myspace and he was very friendly and informed me that is is HH, or "hard of hearing". My current addiction- Well my favorite video of his still has to be "American Idiot" but I have been watching "Iris" alot because I really love that song. Where you can check him out- http://www.youtube.com/user/xcrippledhope?ob=1 (sorry guys, no "check out live" section this week) Parting Words- If you don't know anything about ASL I would strongly encourage you to learn about it, it is really fun and interesting!
